OCTOBER 2000 VOLUME 2, ISSUE 4 MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT Summer seems to have been a slow time for us, but now that it's over … watch out. We're hoping to get a lot of new business this fall and are looking forward to working hard, so get ready! We are nearly there when it comes to getting the paper inventory up and running. Just a few more details to iron out and we'll have it done. That is a really big accomplishment and we want to thank all of the employees who worked so hard to get the job done. We will be putting up walls for a new room for the warehouseman in the near future to house and secure his new computer. In fact, we're getting really close to having all the purchase orders on the computer, so there may be a few more dazed and confused employees wandering about until they learn all the ins and outs of our computer system. We have confidence in them to get the job done.As you have undoubtedly noticed, we've delayed the addition of the new building that we had previously discussed. We are looking at adding on to the east side of Building 4 though, to help alleviate our crowded conditions until we are ready to add the new building. We'll keep you apprised as to how the decision making process is going. As you can see, the year 2000 is a year for moving forward. We've made several small steps, and, with your help, we intend to keep the company heading in that direction. SAFETY TEAM NEWS We have no news! We've been on summer hiatus and will start back having meetings this month. September 20 we had our hearing tests. We will be scheduling our yearly OSHA classes shortly. We went through an inspection with our risk improvement representative from our property insurance carrier in August. We did very well. He did catch us on some wiring problems, and some fire prevention and protection issues. It looks like we may be forming a fire brigade! We will continue working on our ergonomics plan so get ready for us!
